Aloha! So today has been claimed as National Chia seed day by Mamma Chia and I LOVE that! How fun so ya this day recognizes the tiny, yet powerful chia seed that has earned its reputation as being one of the MOST nutrient-rich foods on the planet! A little background... revered by the Maya and Aztecs for their amazing healing powers and natural energy, chia seeds have become a trusted staple for people around the world and can be enjoyed in many foods and beverage! I am not going to pretend that this year I have not become a little obsessed with the seed. I use to watch my mom throw a small handful in her mouth and think.. "hmm odd." haha.. I do it now too! Or sprinkle on my salad, put in smoothies, nut milks and of course chai seed pudding in all its glorious variations.
Something I love about this brand in particular is their love and desire to connect, spread health culture and go above and beyond by donating a portions of sales to support healthy, local food systems - "because we love Mamma Earth and her people!" That is just friggin awesome and they should be celebrated so if you read this Mamma Chia, this mamma loves ya and all your good vibes YOU spread on top of your already AWESOME quality natural organic pure products.
